The company has officially announced the long-awaited full-frame mirrorless Canon EOS R3. This is the company’s latest mirrorless camera to arrive in India that comes with pro-level features. It is ideal for professional photographers who are looking for a more compact and lighter yet state-of-the-art mirrorless camera. The Canon EOS R3 full-frame mirrorless camera has been launched in India at a price of Rs 4,99,995. The price is for the body only and the company has not yet announced an exact timeline when the pro camera will be available in the country. However, the Canon camera is expected to be available by the end of November this year.

The full-frame mirrorless Canon EOS R3 is highlighted by a 24.1-megapixel layered CMOS sensor with back illumination. It is powered by the DIGIC X image processor. The device can be used for fast shooting. The camera is also equipped with a 3.2-inch flip-out touchscreen LCD that offers a resolution of approximately 4.15 million dots. It comes with a refresh rate of up to 120 frames per second and features a smart controller that allows the user to quickly shift the AF position and doubles as an AF-ON button.
According to the company, the EOS R3’s electronic shutter and mechanical shutter can shoot up to 30fps and 12fps with AF/AE tracking. With the electronic shutter, it can also achieve shutter speeds of up to 1/64,000s, allowing you to capture ultra-fast subjects or use large aperture lenses in bright environments. The mirrorless camera comes with integrated dual slots for a CFexpress (Type-B) card, which boasts ultra-high read/write speed, and an SD (UHS-II) card, which enables fast and reliable recording of image data. The EOS R3 has a native ISO range of 100 to 102,400, which can be expanded up to 204,800 when shooting stills. When recording videos, the range is from 100 to 25,600 and can be expanded to 102,400.
The camera also offers a 10-bit HEIF file format and offers HDR-PQ-like JPEG images with enhanced highlight gradation that can be converted from HEIF files in-camera. HDR mode allows you to automatically create one high dynamic range HEIF file from 3 HEIF composites in just 0.02 seconds, enabling handheld HDR photography. There is also in-body image stabilization (In-Body IS) up to 5.5 stops for stable images.

This mirrorless camera also features Canon Log 3 and HDR PQ, providing the flexibility to adapt to different post-production workflows.
